In June of 2008, Stephen received his undergrad degree from UCLA’s Film & Television department with a concentration in documentary production. Immediately after graduation, Stephen spent 5 months in Tanzania, working with and documenting an orphanage that had been abandoned by its management, staff and financiers.
Since starting the project, Stephen has tried to gain a better understanding of how international aid is treated in developing nations, and what Westerners can do to ‘help’ countries like Tanzania.
Stephen will be sharing photos and a few short video clips from his travels. He is currently living in the Carbonera neighborhood in Santa Cruz.
